If there is one box in which I always try to make sure that my appearance encapsulates, then it is polished. Whether it’s casual clothes that I wear to go shopping with girls, to a work meeting or to a big fashion show, this is one of the main criteria that I try to fulfill. And it doesn’t have to be difficult. If there is something I need to make all my outfits easy, it is that I have found several ways to get an impeccable look, quite simple. That’s how I do it.
Make sure everything is seated correctly
Whether I’m wearing jeans, a T-shirt, or a suit, the one thing I’m always sure of is that everything is sewn according to the shape. This means that things like the hems fit my size and that I’m not wearing a jacket that drowns me out. After taking the time to make sure everything is sewn up beforehand, I make sure that everything I use by default looks polished.
Let everything be simple
My image is very classic and I thought it was a great way to make sure I looked flawless. Although everyone has their aesthetics, the only thing you can take away from it is that the simplicity of your image often means that you look great. This means choosing an extract from the statement and then simplifying everything else. Whether it’s a beautiful pair of shoes or stunning earrings, choose one key item and then save the rest.
Pay attention to your bag and shoes
I have always loved bags and shoes and have found that they are often two key accessories that can make or break an outfit. So I always make sure that the bags or shoes I carry are clean. They don’t have to be expensive. but they should look presentable, which means that they do not have scratches and stains. That’s why I always use fabric protection on all my bags and shoes before wearing them.
Do not forget about your beautiful image
Most of the time I have to leave in a few minutes, so I’m all for making beauty treatments quick and easy. If I need to go out fast but I don’t have time to do my hair, I pinch it from behind in a low bun (which takes a few seconds) and I have a smooth hairstyle for the whole day. I also simplified my makeup into a few simple essentials (see my full list here), which ensures that I look presentable when I go out, but I didn’t have to spend a silly amount of time in front of a mirror.
Take a steam.
I don’t like ironing, and I’m sure many of you feel the same way. However, I also can’t walk out the door with my clothes wrinkled, so a great way to reduce the time is to buy a hand spray bottle like this. If I find that something needs a press, I will quickly vent and get out. Most of the clothes are steamed during photo shoots, and I took this trick from my own wardrobe.
